Once again it was time for the Parklife Weekender to take over Manchester and its student/rave population, following weeks of hype and excitement surrounding it. After going on a site visit to Heaton Park a few days earlier and witnessing how stunning the site was becoming, we were massively excited for the 8th & 9th June to commence.
Arriving at the site early thanks to the organised buses from Fallowfield, a 30 minute trip which dropped us off right outside the entrance, we were met by a queue which went down surprisingly quickly. In next to no time, we were inside the festival and admiring the grounds, interspersed with tents and stages, fairground rides, flags, stalls and of course the big wheel and log flume which made a great landmark as somewhere to meet! With the sun shining and blue skies, Heaton Park was filling up fast and the atmosphere was already buzzing.
