Ingredients (to serve 1):

  • 30g rolled oats
  • 1 scoop vanilla whey protein powder (I used PhD Nutrition)
  • 1 tbsp cacao powder (I used Kaizen Living)
  • 75ml almond milk
  • Zest ½ orange
  • 1 orange, sliced horizontally
  • 1 dessert spoon coconut oil (I used Vita Coco)
  • 1 dessert spoon stevia
  • 1-2 tbsp Choc Shot Orange Spice

Get making!

The night before your chocolatey breakfast, put the oats in a jar and stir in the cacao powder, protein powder and orange zest. Pour in the milk and gradually and mix well until combined – it should be thick but still a little liquidy. Leave in the fridge overnight.

In the morning, heat half of the oil and stevia in a non-stick pan and cook half of the orange slices on both sides for a few minutes each, to soften and caramelise slightly. Repeat with the remaining coconut oil, stevia and orange slices.

Now cut the slices in half and assemble on top of the oats in between squirts of Choc Shot in between – the more the better! Now you’re ready to eat right now or put the lid back on your jar and take it out with you for an indulgent but healthy breakfast on the go!
