Celebrating National Chocolate Day the healthy, high protein way!

After returning back to The Media Octopus after an incredible week in Ibiza, I was thrilled to find a special delivery sat at my desk: A tub of NUTrition’s Cleantella. For the Nutella lovers out there, you will be delighted to know that yes, this is a healthy, protein-packed alternative to the usually high-fat but moreish chocolate and hazelnut paste. Made simply from hazelnut butter, casein protein powder, cocoa powder and coconut oil, these little tubs of goodness are absolutely heavenly and can be used for all sorts of clean eating creations if you have a sweet tooth or chocolate craving!

Coincidentally, today is National Chocolate Day, so when NUTrition got in touch to ask if I’d like to celebrate the occasion and come up with a Cleantella creation, I couldn’t wait to get home and baking! I wanted to make something ‘indulgent’, high in protein, gluten-free and full of natural sweetness so I decided on a Chocolate Banana Cake with ChocShot Topping. Simple, delicious and full of health-packed ingredients, here it is!
