Sometimes just the most simple recipes and flavour combinations can work the best; especially when it involves the classic combo of apples, cinnamon and raisins in this tasty, oat-packed recipe. Flapjacks are always a winner – for lunchboxes, after school snacks, as a grab-and-go breakfast option. Try using pears instead of apples, add in walnuts for exta crunch (and healthy fats), or even throw in some dark chocolate chunks to spice the recipe up even more!

Ingredients:

  • 150g oats
  • 2 apples, diced
  • 60g raisins
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons Good Phats Spanish Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 3 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons nut butter

Make them!

  1. Mix together the oats, apples and cinnamon in a large bowl.
  2. Mix together the oil, nut butter and maple syrup then pour into the bowl and mix well to combine.
  3. Stir in the apples and raisins, then tip into a greased and lined 9x9in baking tin and spread out well. Bake at 180C for 15-20 minutes until golden, then allow to cool a little. Cut into 9 pieces while still in the tin then allow to cool completely. Then enjoy!
