These cute little treats pack in so much flavour in a small bite and are definitely a new favourite snack in the household. A creamy, high protein mixture stuffed in the middle of sweet dates, covered in dark chocolate with a sprinkling of crunchy granola on the outside equals perfection! You could use white chocolate instead, or cover with dessicated coconut or flaked almonds too.

Ingredients:

  • 10-12 dates
  • 1 tablespoon nut butter
  • 1 tablespoon icing sugar
  • ½ scoop protein powder of choice
  • Dash of oat milk
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil
  • 50g dark chocolate
  • Granola, to sprinkle over 

Make them!

  1. Cut the dates in half and flatten them out by pressing down on them or using a rolling pin.
  2. Mix together the nut butter, icing sugar, protein powder and enough oat milk to make the mixture into a thick paste.
  3. Spread a little over half of the dates then press the other half over it and gently squeeze together. Melt the coconut oil and chocolate, then spoon this generously over each date.
  4. Sprinkle over some granola then allow to set for at least 1 hour. Chill in the fridge and enjoy!
